Ah.. summertime

Summer Shower
by Emily Dickinson

A drop fell on the apple tree,
Another on the roof;
A half a dozen kissed the eaves,
And made the gables laugh.
A few went out to help the brook,
That went to help the sea.
Myself conjectured,
Were they pearls,
What necklaces could be!

The dust replaced in hoisted roads,
The birds jocoser sung;
The sunshine threw his hat away,
The orchards spangles hung.

The breezes brought dejected lutes,
And bathed them in the glee;
The East put out a single flag,
And signed the fete away.

Summer time is upon us!! School is out and three months of freedom has come :o) Although, I will miss being with my friends 24/7, this will be a nice break to spend with my parents. Going into summer has not been easy, though. The week before finals included a trip up to Carlisle for my Nana's funeral. That was a very rough weekend. It wasn't really how I planned spending my last week of school. After spending the weekend with family and crying, I had to rush back to Liberty for two days of finals and then here, to my wonderful home. While I know that the sadness will linger for a very long time, I know that she is finally looking into the eyes of Jesus and holding Pap's hand, truly and eternally happy.

This has been the beginning of summer.. Well that and meeting Mom at work and then going to the Colonial district and meeting Dad for some Retro's and walking. By the way, Retro's has an amazing limeaide... sooo yummy :o) But I look forward to starting work next week and possibly looking for a second job.. Besides that, this summer, I will be stretched out on the Yorktowne beach and catching up on some relaxing reading.

BRING ON THE SUMMER!
